St. Clair County Community College student Twana Pinskey of Port Huron has accepted a photographer intern position for The Working Press for the 2010 Society of Professional Journalists National Convention and National Journalism Conference.

This year’s convention will be Oct. 3, 4 and 5 at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Pinskey is one of 12 students chosen from across the country for the internship program.

The Working Press is a daily tabloid newspaper that covers the Society of Professional Journalists National Convention. Student reporters, copy editors, photographers and designers will produce The Working Press. As photographer, Pinskey will be responsible for photographing the event. She will be paired with a professional photojournalist for her assignments.

Pinskey will learn from the professional photojournalist and be able to attend portions of the conference.
