SC4 Women’s Soccer Club match at Silverdome canceled

Because of the cancellation of the Green Soccer Bowl, the St. Clair County Community College Women’s Soccer Club will not play an exhibition match Sunday, May 23, at the Pontiac Silverdome.

The organizers of the Green Soccer Bowl notified participants of the cancellation Monday, May 17.

SC4’s team had been scheduled to play against Marygrove College as pre-game entertainment for the inaugural Green Soccer Bowl. The tournament was to feature senior national teams from Ghana, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria and Puerto Rico vying for the inaugural United States Presidents’ Day Celebration Soccer Invitational Tournament Trophy.

The SC4 Soccer Club was one of 10 youth teams invited to participate.
