SC4 appoints Lacey as vice president of student services

Pete A. Lacey has been appointed vice president of student services at St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron.

As vice president, Lacey will be responsible for providing executive leadership and management responsibilities with an emphasis on student services, including recruitment, orientation, admission, financial aid, career planning, advising, registration, enrollment services, records, athletics and student activities.

Lacey began his career at SC4 in 1996 as an admissions and financial aid representative. He served as director of financial aid from 2000 to 2001. Since 2001, he has served as registrar.

Lacey also is an adjunct faculty member, having taught Principles of Management and Principles of Business beginning in August 2007. He was an SC4 assistant baseball coach from 1997 through 2006.

“For nearly 15 years, Pete has shown his strong commitment to the students of SC4,” said Dr. Kevin A. Pollock, college president. “As SC4 recommits itself to focusing on students and their success, Pete’s vast experience will help to ensure our students have the support services and resources they need to be successful.”

Lacey holds an associate of arts degree from Macomb Community College, a bachelor of business administration degree from Saginaw Valley State University and a master of science degree in administration-human resources from Central Michigan University.

He lives in Burtchville Township.
