SC4 to offer online classes for educators

St. Clair County Community College's Workforce Training Institute is offering several monthly online classes for educators beginning in May.

The classes provide continuing education for K-12 teachers and administrators. Participants will receive 2.4 Michigan State Board of Education Continuing Education Units per class.

Classes are offered through online training partner ed2go.

Classes begin monthly and run:

May 19 to July 9
June 16 to Aug. 6
July 21 to Sept. 10
Aug. 18 to Oct. 8

Class topics include the following:

A to Z Grant Writing
Differentiated Instruction in the Classroom
Guided Reading: Strategies for the Differentiated Classroom
Integrating Technology in the K-5 Classroom
Solving Classroom Discipline Problems
Teaching Math: Grades 4-6
Teaching Science: Grades 4-6
The Classroom Computer
The Creative Classroom
Using the Internet in the Classroom
Students with Autism: Strategies for Success
Microsoft Excel 2007 in the Classroom
