SC4 offering convergence technology program

St. Clair County Community College’s Workforce Training Institute is offering a convergence technology program on the college’s Port Huron campus.

The 800-hour program prepares students for exams to earn the industry standard Convergence Technologies Professional and Certified in Convergent Network Technologies certifications.

The Convergence Technologies Professional training covers three areas of technology: data, telecom and convergence. The Certified in Convergent Network Technologies training consists of common-industry terms, concepts and definitions developed for network service providers.

Students must pass several exams to gain certifications. Exam vouchers are included in the class.

Classes start every week and meet year-round. The one-year program allows students to work at their own pace. Individual assistance is available in an open lab from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday on the college’s Port Huron campus.

Call (810) 989-5788 to schedule an orientation or visit www.sc4.edu/preparetowork.
